Project Details

Sowilo is a non-profit organization supporting small businesses in Africa.  The director of the organization requested sunflower gold as the primary color of the logo.  The organization’s name “Sowilo” is from the rune meaning “sun”, so the logo featured a sun prominantly.  The client also was drawn to imagery involving rising, growth, and flying, so was interested in an abstract eagle design.

For the website, the client requested the same golden yellow as well as the use of one of the colors from the Zambian flag (ergo, the green footer).  They also wanted to use graphics to explain their mission and vision.  However, the existing graphics were ancient-looking clip art, so I updated them using the Sowilo color scheme.
